At Monkey Joe Roasting Company our reason to be, is roasting single-origin, specialty-grade coffee. This means that we purchase only the highest, specialty grade, green coffee beans available, from all over the world. Coffee roasting is done in small batches at the roast profile that will showcase each coffee’s most distinctive aroma and flavor. Just as wines differ, so do coffees, and the key to single-origin coffee roasting is to bring out the best in each bean. This means that, unlike blends, you can taste and appreciate the individuality of the greatest, specialty-grade, coffees the world has to offer.
You will also find friendly, knowledgeable baristas at our full-service coffee bar. They can help you choose, and expertly prepare, whatever drink you may desire: coffee and espresso (latte, cappuccino, breve, macchioto, etc…), and non-espresso drinks, organic teas, iced and blended frosts, Italian sodas, organic milk, soy, and almond milk, etc. Our other menu items include scone, muffins, bagels, pies, oatmeal, yogurt, health bars, etc., to accompany our favorite beverage, COFFEE!
We offer a wide selection of specialty-grade coffee beans covering all growing regions of the world, Africa, Indonesia, Central and South America, including Sustainable, Rainforest Alliance, Shade Grown, and Fair Trade Certified coffees. Often we will find coffees that are short-production and can’t help but to bring them to you – it is our addiction as you can tell! Those coffees will be highlighted on the opening page if you want to share the thrill of these fine beans. They may be a bit pricier, but our customers always feel they are special and wonderful, and not to be missed….
So come in, visit our coffee roastery and coffee bar today, located in Kingston, NY, in scenic Ulster County. Chat with us and sample our daily-brewed coffees. Soon you too will be saying, “…taste no evil.” when it comes to your coffee!
PLEASE NOTE: As a micro-roaster, our selection of specialty-grade coffees is subject to change based upon availability and fluctuations in crop quality from year to year. We only buy the best, so if the quality is not up to snuff, we don’t compromise.
