The Huehuetenango region of Guatemala is the country’s highest and driest, as well as one its three non-volcanic areas. This geography, combined with the unique micro climate created from the hot winds out of Oaxaca, Mexico mixing with the cool air from the Cuchumatanes Mountains, results in ideal conditions for growing coffee that has a distinct acidity and nuanced fruity flavors. Known as the most distinguished of the Guatemalan coffees, and arguably the best overall, this cup will have a fairly light, sweet and complex body with floral aromas and notes of maple, citrus, and milk chocolate that finish in a clean and lingering aftertaste.
