Hours & Directions

Monkey Joe Roasting Company, 478 Broadway, Kingston, NY, opened in 2000.

Our shop in historic Kingston, NY (the first capital of NY), is considered to be in mid-town, the heart of the business community, including city hall, hospitals, medical and support offices, and other professionals and entrepreneurs.

The space was renovated back to its turn-of-the-century, 1906 beauty -- tin ceiling, fireplace, wainscoting, tiled floor, school house lights -- and was modeled after a european coffee bar.

HOURS OF OPERATION: Monday through Friday, 6:30am – 6pm
Saturday, 7:30am-4pm
Closed Sundays

About Us

Coffee has always been an important part of my life. Growing up in an Italian family, coffee was brewed many times each day, but I particularly looked forward to the evening coffee as our family gathered around the table after dinner. I remember feeling that I had experienced a rite of passage when, at the age of seven, my father first set my own place at the table. For me, it was the start of a passion that continues to this day. Often finding myself dissatisfied with the coffee served in most of the places I frequented, and presuming that there might be many other people who shared my impression, starting a coffee business was a way to insure that I would always have great coffee for myself. In addition, I would devote my work to something I love. It took about a year of hard work to make it a reality.
